5 Healthy Breakfast Ideas for Busy Mornings

5 Healthy Breakfast Ideas for Busy Mornings

Making breakfast during the week can sometimes be a daunting task. If you snooze your alarm and sleep in, it can make having a delicious breakfast even more challenging. So what can you do?

Here are five super simple and easy breakfast ideas:

1. Fruit

Fruit is the ultimate fast food. Grab a banana and an apple, or a quick handful of blueberries and you have a delicious and easy breakfast on the go.
2. A Smoothie
A little more prep time does go into a smoothie, but again, it is a delicious and nutritious way to have breakfast on the go.
One of our favourite combos here at Team Herbi is:

1/2 cup blueberries
1 banana
1 handful of spinach
1 tsp hemp hearts
1 tsp LSA mix
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Coconut water
Ice

Blend on high until thick and creamy.
This literally tastes like dessert for breakfast. Delicious rice protein with berry coulis and chocolate bukini granola, yum yum. Here at Herbi HQ we enjoy this one both hot and cold, so even if you don't have the two minutes to warm it up, you can still enjoy a delicious breakfast.
Again, this is one that you could enjoy hot or cold. A light Mexican inspired breakfast with a wholesome spinach tortilla.
Our favourite way to cook though is to put on the sandwich press or under the grill for a couple of minutes! A healthy breakfast, can also be delicious and quick.... who says you can't have it all!
5. Overnight oats
Now, this option is quick, but you do have to put the prep time in the night before. Overnight oats can be eaten warm or cold the next morning. But you will have to spend the five or so minutes prepping them the night before. We like to use 1/2 cup of oats, protein powder, mixed berries, LSA mix and water in ours for a wholesome and high protein breakfast option. Put in the fridge overnight while you sleep and let them work their magic!
What are some other quick and easy breakfast ideas that you have?
